KEY RELATIONSHIPS

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Head of Business Systems is responsible for identifying, designing and implementing the core software and business tools required to enable the efficient operation and inter-operation of companies within the Group. They lead the business systems team in the day-to-day management and maintenance of these software platforms and ensure the business ecosystem remains fit-for-purpose and delivers efficiencies across the Group.

DUTIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Software acquisition & business tools

  • To work under the direction of the Senior Management Team in the integration of new software systems including CRM, ERP, CPQ, accounting packages and asset tracking systems.
  • Deliver business solutions in accordance with the strategic roadmap.
  • To integrate software systems across all areas of the business.
  • Plan and implement effective testing processes to ensure that deliverables adhere to standards.
  • Management of software costs and licences.
  • Liaise with internal departments to understand their needs; recommend solutions and provide support to users.
  • Deliver solutions that provide competitive advantage to support the growth of the business in a way that results in client and staff satisfaction.
  • Pro-actively contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes through identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Conduct market research to outline new system solutions that will improve current and future business capability.
  • Plan and oversee the release of upgrades and enhancements to systems.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with all departments within the business.
  • Present concepts, process flows and system capabilities to the stakeholders.
  • Ownership and management of data processing within business systems including qualitative audits to maintain accuracy of all records.
  • To keep up to date with legislative changes and to ensure business systems continue to enable compliant and accurate processing of data at all times.

Project Management

  • Work with key stakeholders to define scope, timescales, quality, approach to business change and engagement.
  • Produce appropriate documentation to support the creation of the business case which identifies and addresses known time, cost, resource and process constraints.
  • Create detailed project plans and track progress. Report regularly to stakeholders.
  • Measure project performance.
  • Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plan.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in implementing business systems.
  • Must have deep knowledge of ERP, CRM, CPQ and accounting platforms.
  • Must have experience in identifying and designing efficient workflows.
  • Must have deep understanding of inventory management and tracking.
  • Must have experience managing a team.
  • Must have experience designing internal training programmes.
  • Ideally experienced in a sales or hire environment.
  • Ideally experienced of Salesforce platform products.
  • Advantageous to have experience of import export business.

ES Broadcast is looking for a Proposals & Pre-Sales Engineer to join our busy proposals department, which develops initial broadcast system solutions in response to client requests for proposals and tenders.

Location: Remote working and Peterborough office
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This is a multi-functional role. Primarily, the role is: to generate proposals and develop initial system solutions based on information from client visits or tender documents; to build proposal-to-project handover documents; and any other pre-sale engineering requirements. Some client management and business development responsibility will also form part of the role, the aim being to create a continuing relationship with key clients. For key clients the role will extend to project management.

  • Generate sales team chase tables
  • Lead initial systems design conversations with customer to generate scope
  • Build supplier relationships
  • Build client relationships
