PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

CANDIDATE PROFILE
You will have significant experience (at least four years) of producing a range of written content for various platforms, including press releases, editorial, website content, social media content, email campaigns, marketing collateral and internal/external communications. This may have been gained in a formal press/journalistic setting or in a marketing/PR role. Experience of developing press relationships would be advantageous.
Above all, you must possess exemplary writing skills and be adept at constructing engaging, pertinent content using a range of appropriate tones depending on the intended audience. An ability to discern the central threads of a story and present complex, often technical, information in an easy-to-understand way is essential. You should be familiar with working within brand messaging and tone of voice guidelines.
Meticulous attention to detail combined with excellent spelling, grammar and proof-reading skills are a must. While it is not necessary to have technical knowledge or experience within the broadcast industry, you should be able to grasp complex concepts quickly and be able to present them in an accessible manner.
As the main source of written content, you will be expected to contribute to the company’s content strategy for each division, especially though participating in regular content planning meetings with key stakeholders. You should have experience of generating content ideas designed to deliver key messages in line with the overall marketing strategy.
You will need to be highly organised and skilled in time management, as often we will be delivering several campaigns at once for different divisions of the company – and will invariably be managing multiple channels for each campaign.
A high level of proficiency in MS Word is required, preferably with some experience of using/conforming to style sheets and templates. Experience with graphic design layout packages such as Adobe InDesign or Quark Xpress, web CMS software such as WordPress, and social media management platforms such as HootSuite would be an advantage but are not essential.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Configuration Engineer (CE) role forms part of the team for the design, installation and delivery of the Broadcast, Operational and other technical elements of our projects.
A CE assists the project delivery team by configuring equipment for use within the deployed system. The CE will take their instructions from the Lead Engineer, with the brief being developed from the clients needs. The CE will require a strong understanding of operational environments to be able to deliver a complex system that can be used by the relevant end users with ease, often masking a high & growing level of complexity. The CE will be responsible for turning a written brief into equipment configurations, using trackers where required, and feeding back all knowledge into the master trackers. Those configurations would then be applied to the relevant equipment. The CE must be familiar with industry standard equipment and knowledge of legacy equipment is also useful. The CE will often have to produce this written brief, having to interpret client’s needs. The CE will often be involved in training the end users and be able to produce high standard & operationally clear documentation. The CE is often client facing, so experience of working with clients in a pleasant manner is essential. Supplementary tasks to the role are varied and may include general engineering duties as instructed.
The CE role includes working away domestically and internationally, sometimes for sustained periods and / or repeat trips but ES makes best endeavours to reduce home-life impact. When appropriate, some home-working may be permitted but this role is seen as a predominantly office or site-based role as required.

DUTIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Equipment configuration, installation, testing & recording of information
- Self-training & attending equipment / manufacturer training
- Progress reporting, internal and external
- Supervision/managing of external services provided by suppliers
- Tracking all equipment configs using the projects tracker
- Feeding back new settings into the master config tracker
- Client training & documentation
- Working to site RAMS, working safely at all times

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Broad equipment configuration knowledge
- Strong fault-finding skills in a Broadcasting or IT environment
- Good networking & general IT knowledge
- Good understanding & ideally experience of Cloud products & deployment
- Firm knowledge of broadcast systems and technology
- MS Office – Specifically Excel
- Must be self-motivated, have keen timekeeping and good organisational skills
- Attention to detail as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Pleasant character that works well under pressure
- Client facing skills
- Driving Licence
- Passport & ability to travel abroad as required

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Working within the Systems Integration Proposals team, the position of Senior Proposal Engineer is a multifunctional role. The primary function of the role is to lead proposal responses and develop initial system solutions based on information gathered from client visits. Additionally, the Senior Proposal Engineer will be required to work closely with our Systems Integration delivery team to create project handover documents and fulfil any other pre-sales engineering requirements, as allocated by the Proposals Manager. Some client management and business development responsibility will also form part of the role, the aim being to create a continuing relationship with key clients.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
You will have significant experience of building key client relationships in order to scope and prepare proposal responses to meet their requirements, from both a technical and commercial perspective. Above all, you will have a strong technical background in working with broadcast technologies, alongside good commercial acumen to provide detailed quotations working in conjunction with our suppliers. You will be expected to be highly organised and skilled in time management as it is not unusual for the proposals team to be working on several responses concurrently.
DUTIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Build proposals from client brief / RFP documents:
- Must be able to interpret client briefs and build scope documents
- Must be able to determine any questions for suppliers and manufacturers to determine the system scope
- Must be able to lead initial systems design conversations with customers to generate scope and an understanding of requirements
- Be comfortable and be self-sufficient in building technical systems or solutions from client briefs
- Manage proposals logging through our internal processes
- Maintain pricing information:
- Must be able to work with suppliers to obtain and negotiate pricing
- Work with the Business Development and Sales team to ensure any new leads are managed accordingly
- Build supplier relationships
- Build client relationships
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- In-depth knowledge and experience of a wide range of broadcast technologies
- Experience of working in a proposals or lead engineering delivery role
- Good commercial acumen and experience
- Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously
- Experience in working and negotiating with suppliers
- Extremely proficient in Excel
- Highly motivated and driven in order to achieve results
- Highly organised
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Capable of remote working
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Capable of building good relationships with clients
- Ability to work in a team environment

DESIRABLE SKILLS
- A recognised Project Management qualification
- Experience in writing tender response documentation
