SUPPORTING PEOPLE IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO US.
At ES Broadcast, we strongly believe that we have a moral and social responsibility to try to help improve the lives of others through charity and community work.
We want to contribute in some small way to changing the lives of those who are in need of some help, or who are less fortunate than we are. We want to give something back to the local area where we work, and where many of our team live.
We want to feel we are part of something bigger.
Why we support charity and community work in our local area
As a successful business, we are in a position to be able to give something back to the local area where we are based. We think the best way to do this is to support charity and community projects that are endeavouring to improve and change the lives of people in the vicinity who are most in need of some help. We don’t just feel that we want to help. We believe that we should help: that we have a responsibility to offer whatever support we can to people who really need it.
How we support charity and community work
We are lucky to have a wealth of charities and community organisations in the local area who are working really hard for the people who live here. We think that supporting these organisations – people who have committed their time, energy and skills to making lives better – is the fastest way of making the biggest impact.
So we have identified organisations who we can work in partnership with, and who are best-placed to help in the most effective way.
And we strive to involve the companies and people we do business with to get involved, too.
Young Harrow Foundation
One of the key charity and community partnerships ES Broadcast has forged is with Young Harrow Foundation.
Young Harrow Foundation’s mission is to ensure that every child and young person in Harrow is supported and safeguarded to enable them to reach their full potential. This resonates with ES Broadcast’s values and ethos, especially as many of our staff are young people living in the borough of Harrow.
Young Harrow Foundation supports more than 100 not-for-profit organsiations working with children and young people in Harrow, helping them to improve their efficiency and effectiveness to increase their funding potential. So the reach of their activity enables our help to have more impact in the lives of more young people.
As well as making a contribution to Young Harrow Foundation’s fundraising campaigns, our aim is also to improve awareness of the work they do, and of the work their partner organisations do.
Soul Survivor Watford
For some families in the Watford area, their needs are as basic as providing lunch for their children each day.
ES Broadcast has supported Soul Survivor Watford‘s Make Lunch programme, which aims to provide a daily meal to children whose families otherwise could not afford it. In a world where the bill for business dinners can run into several hundreds of pounds, we feel it’s important to remember that many people rely on food banks to feed their families, and to try to make a small contribution to alleviating that need.
