UNLEASH YOUR LIVE CREATIVITY – AN EVENING WITH THE SONY HDC-F5500

FROM 16:30, THURSDAY 21 JULY 2022

Soho Hotel
4 Richmond Mews
London W1D 3DH

Sony’s highly anticipated HDC-F5500 UHD Super 35mm live production camera takes centre stage at ES Broadcast’s latest technology and networking event.

Join us at the Soho Hotel in central London on Thursday 21 July to be among the first to discover the wealth of artistic creativity the camera brings to live events and sports productions. With ES Broadcast being the first UK hire company to add the HDC-F5500 to its fleet, it will be the perfect opportunity to assess how the camera will fit into your workflows – and enhance your live productions.

Running from 16:30 until around 20:30, the event is free – however, registration is essential.

SONY’S HDC-F5500: PUTTING CREATIVITY CENTRE STAGE

Equally at home in sports, live events or drama applications, Sony’s HDC-F5500 delivers artful shallow depth of field, superb clarity and realism via its Super 35mm sensor, in a dedicated system camera. It’s the perfect partner to the HDC-5500 and other Sony UHD solutions, delivering artistic shots that harmoniously complement your core footage.

A Sony product specialist will provide a first-hand overview of the HDC-F5500, and there will also be plenty of time to test-drive the cameras and put your questions to ES Broadcast and Sony experts.

We also hope to show an array of other Sony live production solutions at the event. And of course there will be opportunity for socialising and networking, with drink and light refreshments laid on.

    BEYOND IP: INTRODUCING PANASONIC KAIROS

NEW DATE AND VENUE: FROM 16:30, THURSDAY 7 APRIL 2022

    Soho Hotel
    4 Richmond Mews
    London W1D 3DH

We are delighted to announce a new date of Thursday 7 April for ES Broadcast’s technology and networking event focusing on Panasonic’s next-generation IP-centric live production platform, KAIROS.

Please note the event will now take place at a new venue – the Soho Hotel in central London – and will run from 16:30 until around 20:30. Attendance is free, but registration is essential.

This will be a great opportunity not only to see KAIROS in action but to socialise with colleagues and to chat to our team about any support you may need, from equipment and rentals to PPUs, studios or OB trucks.

    ABOUT THE EVENT

With remote production, IP workflows and software-based solutions driving the direction of technology developments in the industry, the event is a great opportunity to assess the operational benefits that KAIROS can deliver for your business. The platform is a great solution for live events, live production – whether in an OB truck, studio or remote gallery – and auditoriums and venues hosting hybrid events. It especially lends itself to scenarios where centralised production techniques are in use.

We will welcome guest speakers from early adopters Creative Technology, in the shape of Head of Vision Sid Lobb and IP Solutions Engineer, Sam Hatcher, who will provide an overview of their use of KAIROS at major sporting events during Summer 2021 and the wider capabilities of the platform. Experts from ES Broadcast and Panasonic will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

There will be plenty of time both before and after our presentations for hands-on demonstrations of KAIROS – as well as for some much-needed socialising, with drinks and nibbles laid on.

    EVENT SCHEDULE

16:30 – Socialising and demo opportunities

    COVID CONSIDERATIONS

Please note attendees will be asked to provide evidence of a full vaccination record or else of a negative lateral flow test taken within 24 hours of the event. This information will not be stored in any format by ES Broadcast.

    ABOUT PANASONIC KAIROS

Panasonic KAIROS is a next-generation live production platform that enables unprecedented productivity for studios and live events, and helps craft immersive experiences.

Based on open software, KAIROS can work with a simultaneous combination of video inputs such as ST 2110, NDI, SRT or baseband SDI, and supports PTP synchronisation. This makes it a suitable option to sit within a remote gallery, an OB truck, or even an auditorium that is hosting a hybrid event.

It can output to standard resolutions such as HD and UHD alongside non-traditional formats such as 32:9 for an LED backdrop when working within virtual studios – all with a latency of just a single frame.

KAIROS utilises a variety of IT ecosystems based on COTS technology, with expandable functions and links to external devices. As a result, whilst in its most basic of configuration it supports IP video switching, it also has the capability to sit at the centre of a live production as a pixel processor or screen manager.

KAIROS Creator is the platform’s intuitive and extremely well-designed Graphic User Interface that enables the management of an unlimited number of video layers. During this event, our KAIROS operator will show how teams with varied levels of experience are able to deliver engaging content or set up complex systems with limited training time. We will also have KAIROS Control, the platform’s software customisable control panel, on hand for demos.
