The Sennheiser MKH 8070 moisture-resistant shotgun microphone measures 18″ long and is designed for focused, high-quality audio capture in high-pressure outdoor environments such as sporting events and broadcast production.

The MKH 8070 was designed with the experienced professional in mind, offering the same sonic signature as Sennheiser’s other 8000-Series microphones. Its frequency response ranges from 45 Hz to 20 kHz, with a gentle rise above 2 kHz to improve intelligibility and a natural bass roll-off to reduce rumble. Its extremely low self-noise of 8 dBA and ultra-high sensitivity of -19 dB enable studio-worthy signal purity without the need for post-production noise reduction and gain boosting.
