The Canon C500 was Canon’s first attempt at the world of 4K digital cinema production.

Equipped with Super 35mm, 8.85-megapixel CMOS sensor Canon C500 offers rich colour and prestine quality. High sensitivity of this CMOS sensor (same as Canon C300) has the additional ability to directly output full 4K, 10-bit RAW Bayered data through two dedicated 3G-SDI connectors, via optional external recorders. AT the same time camera can record proxy files at 50 Mb/s directly to CF cards. C500 features a log gamma setting that sets the camera to maximize dynamic range and provide wide exposure latitude.

Features of the Canon C500 MKI:

  • Canon 4K Super 35mm 16:9 CMOS Sensor
  • 4K/2K Workflow
  • Cinema RAW Capture
  • Canon MPEG-2 4:2:2 50 Mbps XF Codec
  • Full Manual Control
