Specialising in 3D delivery with Sony at a time when it was just emerging as a technology, Ben Worrell was already a veteran of prestigious sports events, including the Wimbledon tennis championships, golf’s Ryder Cup, the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa and the London 2012 Olympic Games prior to moving to NEP. There, his impressive catalogue of sports-focused experience continued to grow, including working on coverage of English Premier League football, horse racing for major UK commercial channels and operating a modular 24-gallery IP-based network of flyaways for top-tier tennis tournaments.
Ben went on to become a key member of the truck-integration team, helping deliver four UHD trucks for EPL football coverage in 2016 and, in 2018, two IP-based trucks and a large-scale de-rig system built on Grass Valley technology. He subsequently guaranteed these solutions at both UK and global events as diverse as athletics championships, music festivals, rugby tournaments and high-profile public events.
Ben combines this wealth of practical experience delivering live productions with an expansive knowledge of vision equipment and IP workflows, skills that will only prove to be more and more in demand as the industry gradually makes the transition to IP infrastructure. Whether your workflows are SDI or IP-based, HD or UHD, you can be confident that Ben, like all our team, has the knowledge and skills to help deliver the exact solution you need.
