The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5m Advent satellite dish with a NewSwift HD antenna system and MPEG4 Fujitsu IP9500 encoders, so is capable of transmitting dual-path HD or SD signals via satellite in either MPEG4 or MPEG2 codecs. In combination with a Fischer Panda 12.8 KW / 15 KVA Generator – an alternative to the 1x 63A single-phase electricity connection – this makes this eight-camera HD OB van a highly flexible OB or SNG solution.

Video and audio routing powered by Evertz

A Panasonic HS400A vision mixer offers the user up to eight camera channels, as well as mix/wipe effects, while an Evertz 16×16 Modular HD Serial Video Router powers routing for the truck. Audio routing is also based on Evertz technology, in the shape of a QT-1616-AA 32 channel analogue audio router. The audio mixer is a Yamaha 01V, providing 24 inputs and 14 outputs (8 digital in/out).

Two-channel playback provision

Record/playback options are available thanks to a Grass Valley T2 Disk recorder with one record and two playback channels. And there is a Tektronix WVR5000 waveform rasterizer and Rhode & Schwarz FS300 Spectrum analyser to provide for testing and measurement requirements.
