A spectacular week of athletics at the IAAF World Athletics Championships closed last night, with legends of the sport bowing out and new young talent taking up the mantle – and an array of ES Broadcast Hire’s equipment played its part in broadcasting the event to the world.
Canon ENG lenses and box lenses capture superstars
All-time greats Usain Bolt and Mo Farah were competing at their final world athletics championships. And a fleet of our Canon HJ14, Canon XJ95 and Canon UJ90 lenses were at the London Stadium to capture the stars of track and field.
Slow motion replay with EVS XT3 servers
With the action coming thick and fast from events running concurrently around the stadium, three of our EVS XT3 ChannelMAX production servers were also called upon to ensure TV and stadium audiences were able to see instant replays of all the key moments.
It was the second time in just a few weeks that ES Broadcast Hire equipment has been used to provide coverage of athletics at the London Stadium. Twelve Sony HDC-4300 camera channels and a range of Canon UJ90, HJ14 and HJ22 lenses were used last month at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, to cover the IPC World Para Athletics Championships.
